31 August 2014: still only a week and will stage the 49th edition of the Capri-Napoli.
Preparations are well underway, and after the race of Macedonia, some of the athletes have already arrived in Naples to find the right concentration in view of the final and decisive stage of the season.
In Naples, in fact, in addition to the stage win also will be awarded world titles for the FINA Grand Prix, the section devoted to the races of length equal to or greater than 15 km.

August 29, 2014: Tuesday, September 2 is scheduled the press conference presentation of the 2014 Capri-Napoli. On that occasion O.C. will unveils all the details and curiosities of the 49th edition in program on Sunday 7th September.
The conference will be held at the Board Room at the Municipality of Naples at 12.

August 28, 2014: presented the official image of the race Capri-Napoli 2014 ( created by adek creative ) with the pay-off: 36 km of power without boundaries, that is well suited to the edition of this year full of meaning who sees the way the top 30 athletes from 17 nations. A unique competition, including 2 magnificent location, close but separated by a sea of 36 km, which tests even the best world swimmers.

2014 Starting list
August 26, 2014: 12 days from the race, scheduled for Sunday, September 7. We can finally find out who will be the stars of the 49th edition of the Capri-Napoli.
At the start 30 athletes from 17 countries of 3 continents!
Amongst them stand out the names of the reigning world champion Damian Blaum, winner of the Capri-Napoli in 2010. There is also the winner of last year with the record Brian Ryckeman. Among teh Italians swimmers stand Simone Ercoli and Edoardo Stochino, recent Europeans bronze medal in Berlin.
Among women, the world champion and winner of the Capri-Napoli in 2012, Esther Nunez. And then the Argentinian Pilar Geijo, also world champion and winner of the Capri-Napoli, but in 2011. Next to them one the major athlete in the open water swimming, especially in the Olympic distance over 10 km, Ana Marcela Cunha .

New important Patronate
25 August 2014: a new important Patronage was granted to the 49th edition of the Capri-Napoli, this is what the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the person of Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, Dr. Graziano Del Rio.

6th Leg 2014 FINA Grand Prix
August 24, 2014: Yesterday the 6th leg of the 2014 FINA Grand Prix held in Ohrid in Macedonia.

On September, 7 the 12th edition of the recent hystory of the traditional race Capri-Napoli, from the “rebirth” on 24 August 2003. It wil be the 49th edition overall in 61 years.

European championships in Berlin
August 19, 2014: with the 25 km race, on Sunday, ended the European Championships for swimming in open water.
6 athletes on the podium, 3 of them have been and / or will be in the race Capri-Napoli, thereby demonstrating the high value of the Italian race, scheduled for Sept. 7 and valid as the final leg of the FINA Grand Prix in 2014.
By the beginning of next week is expected the final starting list that will see at the race 30 athletes from 16 countries.

BCC Napoli trophy
August 13, 2014: The C.O. is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Napoli, which becomes the main partner of the 2014 edition.
The two winners (man and woman) of the 2014 Capri-Napoli, therefore, will be awarded the prestigious trophies BCC Napoli, on which are engraved the names of the winners of the competition, from the first edition 1n 1954 until today.
6th Leg 2014 FINA World Cup
10 August 2014: Sixth leg of the FINA World Cup over the distance of 10 km, held in Lac Megantic in Canada.
