Capri-Napoli 2016 – non FINA competition
June 28, 2016: preparations are underway for the first crossing of Capri-Naples, that, in 2016, arrives at the 51 edition. The non-competitive race is scheduled in 10 days, Saturday, July 9 and will see the start 56 athletes from 9 countries and 3 continents.
The competition will start from Marina Grande in Capri, the historic location of Le Ondine, at 9 am. New, for this competition, will be the arrival in Baia to remind the champion Giulio Travaglio, native of this cute village of Bacoli.
In program many initiatives related to Giulio Travaglio starting from July at Baia and will conclude with the official competition scheduled on September 4.

June 20, 2016: the race Capri-Napoli reminds Giulio Travaglio, the Neapolitan champion, only Italian winner (five his victories) of the marathon Capri-Napoli. The 51st edition of the most important and best known open water swimming competition (FINA Grand Prix leg) will be dedicated to the athlete from Bacoli who passed away last year. A tribute to Giulio Travaglio, who popularized the race around the world, the non-competitive test on Saturday July 9 will arrive at Baia, in the waters close his house and where Giulio trained for so many years.

Ahead of the official competition, which arrives at the 51st edition, scheduled on September 4, that will close the World Grand Prix FINA 2016, it is, however, made official the partnership with Pomilia Energia, which will be the main partner and will award the trophy for the Official women’s competition, and will award trophy for the non-competition in July.

June 14, 2016: This morning was held the last round of the Italian championship, the one over the distance of 25 km, which for technical characteristics is the one that most resembles the Capri.

Italian Championships 10 Km
June 12, 2016: took place in the day, the Italian championships on the Olympic distance of 10 km. The competition which was held in Omegna lake was also valid as the qualification test for the European Championships to be held in Hoorn, Netherlands from July 10 to 14.

Tuesday, always at Omegna, the final test, the distance of 25 km, the closest one to the Capri-Napoli and give good indications for athletes who in September will swim in the Gulf of Naples.
Meanwhile, yesterday and today, were held in Setubal even the Olympic qualifying trials.

June 10, 2016: took place this morning in Omegna lake, the test 5 km time trial, valid as Italian championships and also valid as qualification for the European Championships will be held July (10-14) in Hoorn (Netherland).
