The swimmers have arrived in Naples

6 September, 2018: the swimmers registered for the 53rd edition of the Capri-Napoli are arriving in Naples. The event is scheduled on Sunday 9 September, starting from Le Ondine Beach Club in Capri at 10.15 am and arriving from 16.30 / 16.45 at the Circolo Canottieri Napoli, after swimming 36 km in the Gulf of Naples.

23 swimmers, 15 men and 8 women from 11 countries and 4 continents.

Leading the group of Italians in the race the former world champion, Edoardo Stochino (FFOO Napoli). Next to him Francesco Ghettini, winner of the latest race in Ohrid. Among women, challenge to the summit between Barbara Pozzobon (FFOO Napoli), also world champion 2018 and Alice Franco, second in the ranking and already winner of the Capri-Naples in 2015.

Then are coming the winners of the previous editions 2016 and 2015, respectively Evgenij Pop Acev (MKD) and Damian Blaum (ARG), while for women Pilar Geijo (ARG), winner in 2011 and 2016.

Tomorrow day at Capri with the presentation of the event at the City of Capri with training in Marina Grande at the location of the official start: Le Ondine beach Club.

At sunset, also at Le Ondine, the fashion show Ondine Moda Mare, as part of the side events of the marathon that offers the second edition of Ninfe delle Terme with a particular connection between Sport and Fashion.

September 4, 2018: Presented this morning the 53rd edition of the Capri-Napoli marathon. The conference was held at the Naples Municipality. At the speakers’ table, besides the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Luciano Cotena, also the Councillor for Sports of the City of Naples Ciro Borriello, President FIN Campania Paolo Trapanese, President CONI Campania Sergio Roncelli, the vice head coach of the FFOO Luca Piscopo.

Also present was one of the italian swimmers: the Neapolitan Marco Magliocca.

They were then presented all the trophies to be won: best men (FARMACOSMO), best women (FARMACOSMO), best italian (Giulio Travaglio), best under 25.

It was then unveiled the starting list of the 2018, with so many big at the start. 23 athletes (15 men and 8 women) from 11 Countries.

02 September 2018: only one week left to the 53rd edition of the Capri-Naples marathon!

By now, almost everything is ready for the 2018 Capri-Napoli.

The opening press conference will be held on Tuesday, during which all the participants will be finally unveiled.

Swimmers who will start arriving in Naples from Wednesday, coming from 10 countries on 4 continents. A small world championship for one of the most anticipated races of the season.

There will be great emotions and athletes, trusting in the good conditions of the sea, will look for the victory and the records in terms of time.

As always, the media partners of the event will give ample visibility to the event, starting with the historic partnership with Il Mattino. With TelecapriSport that, on Sunday 9 September, will make it possible to see the highlights of the race that will start at 10.15 am in the historic location of Le Ondine beach Club and the arrival in Naples at the Circolo Canottieri Napoli, starting to look at the sea starting from 4 pm, for the most exciting part of the competition, after 36 km of real open water!
