Capri-Naples in the IMSHOF hall of fame
November 9, 2020: IMSHOF (International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame) has just officially announced that the Capri-Napoli enters the hall of fame, for the 2021 class, in the “Honor Organizations” section.
A great recognition for the historic and traditional Italian swimming marathon, the first edition of which dates back to 1 August 1954, while the last was held on 6 September 2020. In between 55 editions in 67 years. One of the oldest competitions among those still held and the oldest among those present in the 2 FINA world open water circuits (marathon and ultramarathon).
The official ceremony scheduled in New York on May 1st 2021.

Registrations 2021 open
September 19, 2020: Starting today, registrations for the 2021 “open” competitions scheduled for June and July are open. Due to the fact that many 2020 registrations have been postponed to 2021, spots available are limited. therefore the O.C. reserves the right to close registrations before the deadline, once the limit number for each date has been reached.

8 September 2020: after the great emotions on Sunday, the 2020 edition continues with the international “open” competition.
25 athletes divided between SOLO, DUO and RELAYS, on Friday 11 September they will face the 36 km of the Capri-Naples.
Departure at 8 from Le Ondine beach Club in Marina Grande in Capri and arrival at the waters in front of the C.N. Posillipo in Naples.

The eve of the race
5 September 2020: Intense morning with the technical meeting, to illustrate to the athletes all the details of the route and the regulations.
To follow, the last official training sessions at the Circolo Canottieri Napoli.
Again, the official presentation at the Gran Caffè Gambrinus.
Relaxing afternoon.
Tomorrow the official race starts at 10.30 am from Le Ondine Beach Club of Marina Grande in Capri, with all the information, photos and live images from the race available on the official website and the official facebook and twitter channels.
Arrival of the competition visible from the Naples seafront in Via Nazario Sauro with the finish line placed at Molosiglio, in the waters in front of the Circolo Canottieri Napoli.

Day in Capri
4 September 2020: day in Capri for athletes engaged on Sunday at the capri-napoli.
Once in Capri, the swimmers moved from Marina Grande to the Municipality of Capri.
First appointment with the greeting of the Mayor Marino Lembo, at the Municipality of Capri, thanks to whose support the swimmers were able to enjoy an entire day in one of the pearls of the Mediterranean.
Then the traditional photo in “Piazzetta”.
In the afternoon training sessions at the historic starting point at Le Ondine Beach Club and, before returning to Naples, a tour of the island by boat, to admire all the beauties of Capri from the sea: such as the Blue Grotto and the Faraglioni.
Tomorrow technical meeting and the official presentation at the historic Gambrinus Cafe.
