Day in Capri
September 2, 2016: day in Capri for athletes will swim on Sunday the marathon capri-napoli.
Arriving in Capri by hydrofoil of NLG (Navigazione Libera del Golfo), the swimmers have moved from Marina Grande to the town of Capri.
First appointment with the greeting of the Mayor at the City of Capri, thanks to whose support the swimmers were able to enjoy a full day in one of the pearls of the Mediterranean.
Then the traditional photos in “Piazzetta”.
In the afternoon workouts at the renovated Lido Le Ondine and, before returning to Naples, an island boat tour, to admire from the sea all the beauties of Capri: like the Blue Grotto and the Faraglioni.
Tomorrow technical meeting and Sprint Race “C.A.G. Chemical ” memorial “Giulio Travaglio” at Baia.
The swimmers have arrived in Naples
1 September 2016: are coming to Naples swimmers entered the 51st edition of the Capri-Napoli, scheduled for Sunday, September 4 starting from Lido Le Ondine in Capri at 10.15 am and arrival from 4.30 / 45 pm to Circolo Canottieri Napoli after 36 km.
28 swimmers, 16 men and 12 women from 13 Countries, who will contest the stage win and the FINA Grand Prix 2016.
Come, then, the winner of the previous edition Damian Blaum (ARG), while for women Pilar Geijo (ARG), winner in 2011, as well as the current rankings leader FINA Grand Prix: the Macedonian Tomi Stefanovski and the second one (one point less) Edoardo Stochino (ITA) and the current rankings female leader FINA Grand Prix: Olga Kozydub (RUS).

Presented the 2016 edition
August 31, 2016: Presented this morning the 51 th edition of the Capri-Napoli “Giulio Travaglio”. The conference was held at the City of Naples. At the speakers’ table, besides the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Luciano Cotena, also the Councillor for Sports of the City of Naples Ciro Borriello, President FIN Campania Paolo Trapanese, Delegate CONI Naples Sergio Roncelli, the vice head coach of the Italian team Velerio Fusco.
Also present were some of the italian swimmers.
A heartfelt memory of Giulio Travaglio, which is dedicated this edition. Then, were presented all the initiatives for a packed program, which began last April and which will go on until the end of September.
Among the side events also a Capri-Napoli in coastal rowing, a national competition that will see in the water 8 crews.
They were then presented all the trophies to be won.
It was then unveiled the starting list of the 2016, with so many big at the start. 28 athletes (16 men and 12 women) from 13 countries.

August 30, 2016: Wednesday, August 31, at 12, will be presented to the City of Naples, the 51 th edition of the Capri-Napoli, valid as the final leg of the FINA Grand Prix world.
Conference will be revealed the news of this exciting edition and will be announced the athletes who will try to win the race and the FINA Grand Prix 2016.

August 28, 2016: After the brilliant experience of last year, is renewed, also for 2016, the partnership between the Capri-Naples marathon and TV Luna.
The broadcaster TV, official partner, will broadcast the important phases of the competition, while the last part of the competition, starting at approximately at 2:00 – 2.30 pm, will be live.

Press conference
August 26, 2016: the great open water swimming event is back! At the starting line the edition number 51 of the Capri-Napoli, the race valid as the final stage of the Grand Prix Fina ( races over distances of 15 km). The test, organized by the company “Eventualmente – Eventi & Comunicazione”, is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th.
Curiosity, data, and participants will be revealed during the scheduled press conference Wednesday 31 August al 12 hours in the council chamber of the City of Naples to.
The 2016 edition is the first without Giulio Travaglio, who died last October at the age of 71 years. The unforgettable champion, the only man Italian to have won the Capri-Napoli (he has won five in his distinguished career) will be dedicated to various initiatives, in particular an exhibition that will be staged at the Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo from Monday 5 September.

August 24, 2016: The Capri-Napoli 2016, is approaching …
Next week we will be presented the 51th edition dedicated to Giulio Travaglio!
And just today we like to remember Giulio in a particular way.
Apart from the many victories, Giulio became a spokesman and promoter of the return of the Capri-Napoli, that, after 10 years of absence, returns on 24 August 2003 and for this reason he was awarded the title of Honorary President.
Today we want to remember him with a movie that is a gallery of photos that have seen him as the undisputed star, in different roles, of the world open water swimming and of the Capri-Napoli marathon.
