The first women in the race in 1955, the first winner in 1955 Margareth Feathers, the first Italian winner in 1957 Anna Mazzola, the latest participants of the last edition, the last winner, on the occasion of the 50th edition of last year Alice Franco and all the 329 athletes who participated in the Capri-Napoli in 50 great years …
2nd Leg 2016 FINA World Cup
February 26, 2016: After the Patagones-Viedma (ARG) the World Cup 2016, on the distance of 10 km, makes a stop in Abu Dhabi (UAE), with race held today.

Non Fina competition
February 20, 2016: defined the starting list of the competition non-Fina capri-napoli scheduled on July 9.
As it has happened in previous editions, great great enthusiasm and many requests received.
A total of 62 athletes will be in the water, representing 10 countries (AUS, BRA, ESP, FRA, ITA, RUS, SWE, TUR, UK, USA), from 3 continents with athletes at the start that they will have an age between 14 and 73 years!
SOLO competition: at the start 12 athletes, 9 men and 3 women.
For the competition DUO / DOBLE at the start 3 team, with 4 men and 2 women.
For the competition RELAYS, instead, 8 teams, with 4, 5 or 6 components each.
In the coming months we will get to know all the swimmers and the novelties of this 51 th edition, entitled, since this competition, to Giulio Travaglio!
Preliminary Entry form
February 15, 2016: it is online, here, the preliminary entry form for the Capri-Napoli race valid as the final leg of the FINA Grand Prix.
The 51 th edition of the competition is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th.
1st Leg 2016 FINA World Cup
February 8, 2016: With the annual Patagones-Viedma (ARG) opens the World Cup 2016, on the distance of 10 km, held at the weekend, which will have its climax in the Olympic race in Rio on August.

Santa Fé-Coronda cancelled
January 25, 2016: The first leg of the FINA Grand Prix in 2016 that was to be held on February 7 and then temporarily delayed, was finally canceled.
After having held several meetings with Prefectura Naval Argentina, Santa Fe State Natural Disasters Direction, local and state authorities O.C. notifys that “El Niño” phenomenon adverse consequences will remain on for the near future time in the Santa Fe – Coronda area. Due to high level of Paraná River (ARG) that is affecting this whole geographic area causing natural disasters, floods, river overflowing, Prefectura Naval Argentina has decided – through Disposición SAFE R 16/ Nº 1 /16 to forbid acuatic, swimming and fun activities in Laguna Setubal – Santa Fe-, Puerto Santa Fe and Rio Coronda the normal and unique way of the race. This prohibition is to be held until the natural unfavorable conditions quit. The OC has also tried to keep the race through an alternative and shorter course of competition ( Santa Fe local port or Coronda waterfront), but these choices were to be discharged due to the permanence of bad weather and river conditions. This is to officially notify the CANCELLATION OF 2016 OWS GRAND PRIX FINA SANTA FE-CORONDA (ARG) due to overwhelming force natural situation.

January 18, 2016: The O.C. has been defined the date of the competition unofficial. The crossing has been confirmed for Saturday, July 9.
Meanwhile, there are only two weeks to the official closing of the registrations, whose term is set for January 31, although 90% of available spots has already been confirmed for all three categories: SOLO, DUO and RELAYS.

Capri-Napoli 2016
November 17, 2015: The 51th edition of the Capri-Napoli, valid, as for the past years, as the final leg of the FINA Grand Prix, it will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016.
The competition, since the approach events, will see the creation of a series of commemorative moments in memory of Giulio Travaglio, whose complete program will be disclosed in the coming months.
The competition non FINA, however, will be made on 2 or July 9, 2016 and will, as always, open to categories SOLO, DOUBLE and RELAYS. Entries for this competition are already opened and the available places are already almost sold out. In this sense, although the deadline for receiving documents has been fixed on January 31, O.C. reserves the right to early terminate inscriptions, once exhausted the available places.
Bereavement
18 October 2015: the marathon Capri-Napoli loses its biggest star. Tonight Giulio Travaglio has died!
The first and only Italian winner of the competition, record holder of wins: 5 (1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970), Honorary President since 2003, the year of the return of the competition, after the long break of 10 years.
In the year of the 50th edition, the competition lost a dear friend, a champion and protagonist of the world open water swimming, with its victories around the world between the mid 60s and 70s.
